11th Grade

Fall Semester

Throughout eleventh grade, we continue to monitor students' progress while encouraging them to maintain a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Juniors are invited to attend presentations from college admission representatives across the country, IUSD's College Night in the Spring, Mock Admissions presentations (re: private college information) in the Fall and Spring, and presentations from our local community colleges throughout the year. Our ROP coordinator is available in the College and Career Center, offering career technical education programs for students ages 16 and older. All juniors have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT in October with additional practice tests that may be available during the spring semester.

Spring Semester

During the Spring, we meet with all juniors in small groups to review graduation and college requirements, college admissions, testing dates, and course selection for senior year.  We also offer a Junior Parent Information where we discuss graduation, college requirements, ROP opportunities & post-high-school options.

Junior Meetings

During the month of March, counselors meet with groups of juniors to plan classes for senior year and to discuss the college application process. You can access the presentation for the class of 2026 here.  Both the presentation and all materials included in the junior meeting packet are on the Class of 2026 canvas page.
